About Us 
If you have an idea and I have an idea and we share these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas... At PTO ideas, we hope to multiply that by the thousands! Welcome to PTO Ideas (www.ptoideas.com), a Massachusetts web-based company dedicated to helping schools build better parent-teacher organizations. 
My name is Vicki Blaze and I'm the founder, Editor & Publisher of PTO Ideas.
I'm an an independent marketing consultant who assists corporations and nonprofits with program and event promotion by creating event names, themes, logos and other promotional material. PTO Ideas is a small business that was born out of a love for creativity, design, and helping others save and raise money on a budget. For the past 5 years, as a writer and designer I've enjoyed transforming the way schools fundraise by teaching them how to do it thoughtfully and creatively, researching & writing new fundraisers, and designing themes that promote these events. In 2006, this passion became PTO Ideas. Marketing and Project Management experience has been a great asset in my ability to offer ideas on how to run a PTO like the business it is. I've served as a member of two PTOs at two separate schools for several years where I've helped plan and implement fundraisers and events. I also serve on the the Board of Directors of a local community-based fundraising organization. I believed a site was needed that parents and teachers could use as a practical reference to set goals to raise funds and know exactly where those funds would be spent. PTO Ideas is intended to be a summary. Other sites will write up to 50 artcles all on a single subject. They hire freelance writers to say the same thing a thousand different ways. From each one you may be able to pull one or two lines with key points. PTO Ideas is a summary of all of those key points! Most of the ideas you find here are from my own head, but I also scour the web, read through tons of articles and add the key points of what I read to PTO Ideas. Here you'll find just a single page on each subject. I know you're busy. So read on and feel good that I'm using your time efficiently.
