1. CREATE A CUSTOMIZED WEBPAGE IN MINUTES
Simply complete an online form at FastTrack Fundraising that includes your organization's information, fundraising goal amount, fundraiser end date, and a message from your school (i.e. Welcome to our online store. 2. EMAIL SUPPORTERS
Once you've setup your webpage, email school families and faculty asking them to support your fundraiser by purchasing magazines from you.
This is where collecting contact information becomes important. Under our Increase Participation page, we discuss ways to increase PTO involvement such as collecting contact information and launching an email newsletter in order to send email reminders about PTO events.
But it's never too late to collect contact information. Simply distribute a form through the students backpacks and faculty mailboxes. Once the forms have been returned to you and the data has been collected, send an email asking supporters to purchase magazines.
Include your magazine fundraiser webpage link directly in the body of your email. The link is obtained by going to your magazine page and copying the url link from the address bar at the top of the page and pasting it directly into your email text. Because the link begins with http// or www., the link will automatically turn into a live link the reader can click on.
Here are some tips for creating an email that generates sales:
- Informative Subject Line: Emails will only be opened if those receiving the email recognize either the email Sender or the information in the Subject Line. State the school name and purpose in the subject line (i.e. XYZ School PTO Fundraiser, XYZ School PTO Newsletter)
- Email Sender: Since bonuses can only be tracked from emails sent directly through the FastTrack Fundraising site, it's recommended that all emails be put through their site.
- Address the Email: Dear XYZ School Supporters or Dear XYZ School Parents, Faculty, and Students
- State the Purpose: State exactly why you are emailing. For example, In an effort to raise $4,000 for educational enrichment programs, the XYZ School is hosting an online Magazine Fundraiser. XYZ School will receive 40% of all sales.
- Provide the URL Link: Place the url webpage link in the center of the email where it can be easily identified.
- Ask for the Sale: For example, Please support our fundraiser by purchasing magazine subscriptions through our online store where you'll save up to 85% off regular prices!
- Tell them how to order: For example, Choose a magazine that interests you or a family member from a list of 1000 titles. Pay online using a credit card and your magazines will arrive in your mailbox.
- Ask them to forward this request: For example, Please forward this email to your families, friends, and co-workers and ask them to renew their magazine subscriptions or make a purchase through our webpage in support of the XYZ School.
- Say Thank You: Always remember to thank them! For example, Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to review our Magazine Fundraising page. Every purchase gets us one step closer to providing quality programs for our students.
3. RECEIVE MONTHLY CHECKS
At the end of each month your profit check for the prior month's earnings will be sent. Your organization will receive monthly checks for 40% of all sales! It's that simple.
